Position: SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties Duty 1:
Incumbent serves as a Security Specialist for one or more security programs (e.g., Special Security, Personnel, Physical, Information, Industrial and their associated training requirements). Duty 2:
Provides oversight and direction for assigned Security Program(s) in accordance with applicable DoD and USAF directives. Duty 3:

* Employee must be able to obtain and retain a TS/SCJ security clearance/access.

* This is a drug testing designated position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing.
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes applying Broad and comprehensive knowledge of security concepts, Executive Orders, Department of Defense (DoD) Directives, regulations, and manuals governing Information, Physical, Personnel and Industrial Security Programs. Knowledge of organization's unique mission requirements to multiple federal agencies, joint services, state and local governments, to develop, define and direct required security principles and practices.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
