As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active Security clearance or the ability to obtain a Security clearance to be considered.

The (TECOM) Warehouse Operations Manager manages a team of people within warehousing, logistics, and inventory management. The Operations Manager will recruit, lead, coach, mentor, develop, train, and schedule warehouse personnel while working with the Operations and Site Management teams to maintain uninterrupted support for Officer Candidate School (OCS) and The Basic School (TBS).

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for TECOM Warehouse Operations Manager: $60,000 - $70,000 Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

TECOM Operations Manager

Responsibilities Include:
  • Review TECOM annual training schedule to ensure readiness for student pickup/turn in.
  • Communicate with Officer Candidate School (OCS) S4 to receive/review expected class sizes or any pre-pack capabilities for student pickup.
  • Communicate with The Basic School (TBS) S4 to receive/review expected class sizes or any pre-pack capabilities for student pickup.
  • Ensure resources and manpower are appropriately allocated to meet the fast-paced throughput of students.
  • Recognize resource shortfalls and trends, so request for additional support to the site manager can be requested.
  • Exercise initiative towards process improvement and develop innovative approach towards problem solving, resource management, warehouse design, and maintaining equipment.
  • Supervise and instruct the daily warehouse personnel to meet operational goals (receiving, picking, packing, inventory management, divestment, repairs, quality control, cycle counts, etc.)
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Ensure customer service goals continuously met.
  • Receive, analyze, and react to daily status reports across all distribution center functional areas.
  • Analyze data on deliveries and transportation between hub warehouse and customers and recommend/implement improvements.
  • Audit and adjust processes and oversee employee productivity metrics.
  • Formulate and enforce picking goals for each area/zone of the warehouse.
  • Work to develop and implement procedures for unloading orders from vendors and stocking them on our shelves.
  • Ensure trucks/trailers are efficiently and accurately loaded/unloaded to support the efficient movement of goods and materials to their destinations to fulfill commitment to our customers and support mission objectives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
TECOM Warehouse Operations Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years leadership experience managing a minimum of ten personnel.
  • Active Security Clearance Required (or the ability to obtain a Security clearance may be considered).
  • Experience with instructional speaking to large crowds/classes.
  • Experience or the ability to manage, direct and control crowd/mass groups of student personnel or similar experience.
  • Platform instruction or similar experience within a school-type environment is preferred.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Software (WMS) or something similar to efficiently track inventory, manage shipments, and optimize warehouse processes.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control methods, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and implementing best practices to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes, including inbound and outbound transportation, freight management, and coordinating with carriers or third-party logistics providers.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Must demonstrate ability to lead under stress and within austere climate conditions.
