Pay Rate: $20.33+ $5.09 (Health and Welfare) per hour
Job SummaryThe work hours for this position are primarily 7:30am - 4:00pm Mon-Fri, but occasional weekend and after hour work is required. Responsible for performing Lead Floor Care Specialist duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that the floors are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The majority of the daily activities will be hands‑on working. Responsible for obtaining the required security clearances.

- Perform direct floor cleaning and care duties as directed by the Floor Care Supervisor, and provide general directions to 1 Floor Care Janitor supporting in floor care duties (if and as needed).
- Prepare, set up and safely execute coordination of floor care activities to ensure minimal impact to foot traffic and flow.
- Responsible for meeting the floor buffing, strip/wax, restoration and other floor care scheduling requirements set forth by the Floor Care Supervisor, and actively performing floor care duties directly.
- Operate burnishers, scrubbers, polishers, shampooers and other types of floor care machinery as needed to meet the Floor Care Supervisors expectations and floor quality standards.
- Support and perform minor upkeep and maintenance of all floor care equipment.
- Adhere to work schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of cleaning of the buildings and areas.
- Perform cleaning and floor care tasks assigned, to meet contract frequency requirements.
- Responsible for the security, maintenance and upkeep of equipment and supplies in designated locations.
- Report work completed, and communicate any access challenges or issues to supervisor.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
- Must be able to pass and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred.
- One (1) year janitorial experience required.
- One (1) year of floor care experience required.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment.
- Knowledge of the use of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
- Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of chemicals and products.
- Strong commitment to high level of service and quality standards.
