NCIS Cybersecurity Specialist

Join Life Cycle Engineering in support of the NCIS IT support services mission headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States (U.S.) Navy and Marine Corps.

This position is expected to start in Q3 of 2026.

As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will establish and satisfy system-wide information security requirements based on analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Support the government Cybersecurity personnel in the development and implementation of cybersecurity/IA doctrine and policies. Provide leadership and guidance in the development, design and application of solutions implemented by junior cybersecurity/IA staff.

Fully adjudicated Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility).

• Performs DoD Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities in accordance with RMF processes.
• Deploys and maintains enterprise security solutions including Trellix ePO, ENS Firewall, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• Conducts threat analysis, documents formal risk assessments, and ensures compliance with NIST 800-53.

• 5 to 7 years of IT security experience.
• Mastery of NIST SP 800-53/37 and Navy RMF package development.
• Experience with eMASS, ACAS, and STIG Viewer.
• Must meet DoD 8140 Cyber Security Workforce Management requirements.

• Travel will be required to support this task (up to 25% travel).
• Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting.
• Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance.
• Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
