Information Management Specialist

Responsible for maintaining awareness of ongoing Science and Technology (S&T) endeavors and resultant technologies for integration of the most recent and relevant information into its evaluations, analyses, and activities in support of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory/Futures Directorate (MCWL/FD).

• Reinforce communication, integration, and process innovation. Aid in increasing the speed of the command decision cycle.
• Foster operationalized information and knowledge sharing.
• Determine processes and procedures to satisfy Information Exchange Requirements.
• Develop and review knowledge exchange requirements, procedures, and processes.
• Develop and maintain the information vehicle (SharePoint) and other outreach methods.
• Upload required information to the SharePoint site and other outreach methods.
• Provide information and knowledge management support, including social media, SharePoint, and shared-drive management.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Military education equivalent to experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Administration preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the Marine Corps, its missions, force structure, war fighting concepts, tactics, techniques, procedures, and doctrine. In addition, must possess a working knowledge of the Marine Corps Warfighting Concepts and the combat development process.
• Must have an intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Must be Microsoft Certified. SharePoint Administrator Associate or equivalent (experience in lieu of certification is acceptable).
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification for cybersecurity best practices (experience in lieu of certification is acceptable).
• ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred; experience in lieu of certification is acceptable).
• Certification in Web Design or related field (preferred; experience in lieu of certification is acceptable).
• May be required to obtain access of up to TS/SCI (generally, U.S. citizenship required).
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and be exceedingly well organized and flexible.
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

• Pay range: $90,000 - $98,000 per year.
