Duties
* Performs budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of a budget with different sources and types of funding, such as direct annual, multi-year, and no-year appropriations; apportionments; allotments; transfer of funds from other agencies; revenue from other federal agency funded operations; and refunds.
* Performs budget formulation work involving preparation of detailed analyses of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for HQ AFOSI/XR, subordinate program managers and applicable field units into a consolidated budget request for AFOSI.
* Uses automated budgetary system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments. Performs quality checks of automated system data base information and advises program manager of any significant problems.
* Independently reviews and assesses the long-term effects of budget guidelines, such as new or revised legislation, Resource Management Decision (RMD), Programming Decision Memoranda (POM), and Program Budget Decision (PBD), on assigned programs.
* Provides technically sound advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information. Devises and recommends the adoption of procedures to implement budgetary processes, policies, and regulations issued by HQ AFOSI, USAF and DOD. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station

* This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. [c] * [c] Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program
* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience which includes serving as the technical expert conducting analytical, and administrative duties in all the phases of the budgetary process to ensure AFOSI is fiscally prepared to meet internal, Air Force, and Department of Defense mission objectives;
