JMT is seeking a Top Secret Cleared Senior Electrical Engineer in the Quantico, VA area for an exciting opportunity to work with the federal government. The position provides electrical engineering assistance for design and construction projects using knowledge of design principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute.

• Experience providing professional electrical engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.
• Experience performing as a consultant in the establishment of design standards and criteria for construction projects.
• Experience providing on-site field survey measurements and verification.
• Experience preparing electrical load calculations.
• Experience with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, and Sketch Up

• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic. Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Active Top Secret US Government Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 10 years’ experience as Electrical Engineer in commercial/government office building design and construction.

• Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience working with governmental agencies at the federal, city, county and state levels.
• 20 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer in commercial/government office building design and construction.

Work is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Office to field time is approximately 25% to 75% respectively. Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required.
