Join Life Cycle Engineering in support of the NCIS IT support services mission headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States (U.S.) Navy and Marine Corps.
Position expected to start Q3 of 2026.
As the Budget/Financial Planning Lead you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and execution in all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and budgeting in accordance with the Department of War (DoW) Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
Clearance RequirementsFully adjudicated Top-Secret clearance (SCI eligibility).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Supports budget formulation and year-end closeout to ensure 99% obligation rates. Tracks Congressional marks/language and prepares responses to Congressional queries.
- Maintains alignments within Navy financial reporting systems (DON).
- 10+ years of experience with accounting principles and DoD/DON financial management systems.
- Experience with SRB submissions and processing invoice payments.
- Travel will be required to support this task (up to 25% travel).
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting.
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance.
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
