Category Manager - Groceries & Local Shops

🚀 Welcome to Your Next Adventure! We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Category Executive to join our Grocery team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing product categories, optimizing the product mix, and driving sales growth. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for the grocery retail industry.

• Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to inform category plans.
• Manage the product life cycle, including sourcing, pricing, promotion, and discontinuation.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate terms, conditions, and promotional activities to secure the best deals for Snoomart.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to meet inventory requirements.

• Monitor and analyze category performance metrics, including sales, margins, and stock levels.
• Provide regular reports and insights to the commercial team to inform decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement within assigned categories.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
• Ensure that promotions are effectively communicated to customers and drive sales.
• Evaluate the success of promotions and adjust strategies as needed.

• Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
• Work closely with the supply chain team to manage stock replenishment and reduce out-of-stock situations.
• Implement strategies to manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory.

• 3-4 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or a related role within the retail or grocery industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in using category management and inventory management software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
