Senior Specialist - Financial Reporting

The Senior Specialist – Financial Reporting is responsible for preparing high-quality standalone and consolidated financial statements
, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and supporting reporting requirements to our listed parent company
. The role contributes significantly to month-end and year-end close processes, provides analytical insights, supports audits, and drives improvements across reporting workflows. This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

• Financial Reporting (Standalone & Consolidated)
• Prepare standalone financial statements for multiple entities in accordance with IFRS and internal policies.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, including elimination entries, intercompany reconciliations, and group-level adjustments.
• Ensure accurate reporting of investments, minority interests, goodwill, and consolidation-related balances.
• Coordinate with subsidiaries and departments to ensure timely submission and validation of reporting packages.
• Prepare reporting schedules and disclosures required by the listed parent company, ensuring full compliance with group reporting timelines and formats.
• Month-End & Year-End Close
• Perform detailed reviews of trial balances for anomalies or inconsistencies.
• Validate consolidation integrity and perform necessary corrections in coordination with the reporting manager.
• Maintain audit trail documentation and detailed working papers.
• Compliance, Governance & Audit Support
• Support both internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and explanations.
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS, including implementation of new standards and updates.
• Support submission of financial information required by regulators, group reporting teams, and the listed parent company.
• Contribute to strengthening internal controls related to financial reporting and consolidation.
• Analytical Review & Management Reporting
• Conduct analytical reviews of both standalone and consolidated results, highlighting key movements and trends.
• Prepare variance analyses with logical narratives for management and group reporting.
• Support preparation of consolidated and entity-level management reports and dashboards.
• Systems, Process Improvement & Automation
• Support enhancements to consolidation and reporting modules within ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) or group reporting tools.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control across the reporting cycle.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Liaise with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, internal subsidiaries, and group reporting teams to ensure alignment of financial information.
• Collaborate with the parent company’s finance team to meet reporting requirements and timelines.
• Provide financial data and analysis to support business and strategic decision-making.
• Documentation & Policy Compliance
• Maintain up-to-date reporting process documentation, accounting memoranda, and consolidation procedures.
• Support updates to financial policies and ensure adherence across reporting entities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Professional certification preferred: CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA (completed or significantly progressed).

• 4–7 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, or audit (Big 4 experience is a plus).
• Strong experience preparing standalone and consolidated financial statements.
• Experience working with or reporting into a listed company environment.
• Understanding of group structures, intercompany transactions, and consolidation principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.

• Experience with Odoo is preferred.
