As part of our ongoing growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Contracts Manager to strengthen our Contracts team.

The Role

The Mechanical Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing mechanical projects from initial award through to final handover. This position requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards.

You will play a key role in coordinating project teams, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage mechanical contracts concurrently.
  • Manage project programmes, budgets, and resource planning to meet agreed objectives.
  • Prepare and administer contracts, including variations and associated documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor commercial performance and implement cost-control measures where necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies.
  • Produce regular reports on progress, risks, and financial status.
Candidate Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in a Mechanical Contracts Management role within building services.
  • Sound technical knowledge of mechanical systems and current industry regulations.
  • Strong leadership and organisational capabilities.
  • Commercially astute with experience managing budgets and contractual processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant qualification or experience in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
