Job Overview
Flynn Applebee's, a premier brand of Flynn Group, is seeking an Applebee's® Assistant Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of one of our 460 restaurants across the United States. The role focuses on delivering excellent guest experiences, maintaining operational standards, and developing team members.
Responsibilities- Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines and achieve established unit objectives.
- Cultivate a culture in alignment with Flynn Applebee’s core values and the Premier Card.
- Respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints.
- Prioritize guest contact by completing table visits as set by Flynn Applebee’s standards.
- Maintain departmental inventory levels and perform line checks to meet company standards.
- Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands.
- Maintain safety and security programs, ensuring compliance with policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote and lead restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
- Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
- Recruit, counsel, and train staff using Flynn | Applebee’s training procedures.
- Conduct one‑on‑one sessions, performance documentation, and written evaluations.
- Provide calibrated feedback, monitor performance, and document disciplinary situations as needed.
- Control costs within the assigned department and prepare accurate daily paperwork.
- Ensure sanitation meets or exceeds Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards.
- Serve as a role model for managers and employees, assisting in all positions as necessary.
- Use the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies.
- At least 2–3 years of restaurant management experience.
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications (plus).
Assistant Managers earn $17.48 to $25 per hour (approximately $50,000 to $71,500 annually based on a 50‑hour work week) with potential monthly bonus, where applicable by location.

- Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Read, write, and possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
