ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry competency
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to float between units and adapt to fast-paced healthcare environments
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
Travel Nurse Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality patient care in ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, Rehab, and ED Holding units
• Manage patient assignments by acuity (ICU 1:2, PCU/CCU 1:4, Med-Surg 1:5, Rehab 1:8 team model)
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, manage ventilators, invasive lines, ostomies, drains, and tracheostomies
• Administer IV medications and titrate drips
• Transport patients throughout hospital departments (inpatient units, ED, imaging, PACU, Cath Lab)
• Support ED Holds Area during night shifts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (techs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists)
• Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
