Summary Description:

This position is responsible for teaming with the expeditor, shipping, and production teams to review product that needs to be located and researched as to why it is dispatched.

Essential Duties:
  • Research and determine the root cause for items that can't be found. Work with departments where items are manufactured and stored/pulled for loads
  • Escalates damaged items to the warehouse supervisor and enters rejections when applicable
  • Preforms root cause analysis for missing items
  • Corrects quantity discrepancies with inventory control department
  • Works closely with production and customer service to determine when missing sections are going to be produced and coordinate between departments to ensure items make shipment dates
  • Communicates daily quantity discrepancies as it pertains to customer's loads via email to multiple departments
  • Attends daily Back Order briefing
  • Warehouse Management;
    Train the trainer
Essential Job Skills and Experience:

Education/experience: Any combination of education providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in inventory control preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
Skills/Knowledge Required:
  • Develop a working knowledge and skill set that centers around our Frontier system
  • Ability to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
  • knowledge of inventory procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Mathematical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independent and with a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time (8-to-10-hour shifts)
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to become a certified Power Industrial Truck operator
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and more than 50 lbs. using a team-lift
Physical Environment/Working Conditions:

This position involves standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. It requires grasping and fine finger manipulation on both hands. The position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. The plant is not climate controlled. Noise levels can become high. NWD provides and requires hearing protection in the department. The work is done in an area where moving mechanical machinery, parts or vibration are located.

Specific vision requirements:

This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
