Puyallup School District is seeking qualified applicants with skills, abilities, and willingness to work as a substitute on the Patrol Security Team. A successful candidate will excel in working independently, exercising good judgment, and being a representative of the Puyallup School District.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of this position is to provide after-hours patrolling of Puyallup School District property. Responsibilities include driving a district-vehicle to observe and report activities on District property after‑school hours, on weekends, and holidays.

Position Hours / Days

This position will serve as substitute to our after‑hours Patrol Security Team. Primary responsibilities are driving a district‑vehicle to observe and report activities on District property after‑school hours, on weekends, and filling in during holidays. Shifts are eight hours, 11 PM to 7 AM on weekdays as well as first, second and third shift on weekends and holidays. A successful candidate will excel in working independently and exercising good judgment as well as being available for a minimum of five shifts per month.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent - Documentation must be included with application.
  • Two years of recent, successful working experience in security or successful completion of six months schooling in law enforcement preferred.
  • Maintain a valid First Aid/CPR certification.
Clearances

Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

Other Information

Selected applicants will be contacted by the department supervisor for an interview. Upon recommendation for hire, candidates will be contacted by Human Resources and will be required to complete the Onboarding Process, which includes:

  • Onboarding Paperwork
  • Online Orientation
  • Onboarding Appointment includes scanning of fingerprints
