Summary
:
The position of Millwright is a hands-on position who is responsible for disassembly and reassembly of equipment as well as fabrication of equipment and training maintenance personnel in proper repair and maintenance of the equipment.
- Some fabrication of parts and machinery.
- Disassembly and reassembly of machinery for the purpose of rebuilding.
- Some rigging of machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Train maintenance staff on how machinery works and how to properly maintain machinery.
- Initiate purchase orders.
- Work within the guidelines of ISO 14001 and ISO 13485.
- Follow local, state, and federal regulations.
- Overtime, weekends and holidays will be needed at times.
- Create drawings on paper that can be converted to CAD or Solid Works.
- Come up with solutions to problematic components on machinery.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Basic computer skills include email and working with CMMS software.
- Excellent mechanical skills including fabrication and welding of machinery.
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience in the fabrication and rebuilding of machinery.
- Required to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Use basic geometry and algebra to problem solve.
Must be able to stand on your feet or potentially stay in awkward positions while working for periods of time. The employee will be expected to lift or move 75 lbs unassisted.
