POSITION: Long-Term Substitute Registered Behavior Technician
Putnam Elementary School Special Education
DescriptionA registered behavior technician (RBT) supports and implements individualized plans under the direction of a board-certified behavior analyst. RBTs provide applied behavior analysis interventions that assist students develop social skills as well as positive behavior.
Responsibilities- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
- Collect, record, and summarize data on targeted behaviors
- Assist special education teacher in accordance with students individualized plans
- Maintain confidentiality
- Effectively communicate with board-certified behavior analyst and special education teacher regarding data and student progress
- Follow all protocols and training to ensure student safety
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification in Connecticut (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required)
- Para Pro Test or equivalent of 2 year's college credits - 60 credits (Required)
- Experience working in a school system preferred
START DATE: Immediate Opening for the remainder of the School Year
RATE OF PAY: $31.84 per hour
