EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/week

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Milestone is a 30-day intensive level 3.7 residential treatment center designed to accommodate and treat women with a history of substance abuse, trauma, and mental health issues. The program is recovery-oriented, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed. The goal of treatment is to help women find real hope for recovery. Milestone offers individual and group counseling, case management, and aftercare planning services.

It provides treatment for co-occurring disorders, with substance abuse as the primary diagnosis. Treatment is individualized and targeted toward moving forward to employment, housing, and family stability. Milestone is part of CHR s Center of Excellence for Women/Women and Children at the Putnam campus. Length of day is less than 30 days and clients are referred to a step-down program for further address of co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and other applicable licensing standards.
  • Monitors medications of residents in accordance with the Adult residential medication policy and procedure.
  • Effectively communicates day’s events to other staff using appropriate methods/tools.
  • Teaches and assists residents in rehab areas including nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills.
  • Assists/manages administrative functions and tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
  • Collaborates and coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
  • Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license required with good driving record. CPR & First Aid Certification required or must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Compensation

Compensation*: $18.38/hour minimum, and range commensurate with experience. Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and may vary by program/location and internal equity policy. Part-time positions are pro-rated based on hours worked.
