About the RoleAs an Co-op Crop Scout at Sylvite, you will play a vital role in our operations by providing various services to our diverse clientel. This position is essential to maintaining our commitment to quality and service excellence within the agricultural supply industry.
What You’ll Do- Soil Sampling: using an ATV and automatic sampler, limited walking fields stopping at several locations to record observations on crop stage, insects, weeds, diseases etc.
- Giving farmers timely and accurate field reports (Agri-Data program) to base their decisions upon.
- Working with the agronomist and sales staff to meet customer needs
- Drone Pilot – Flight Operations:
Plan and execute, safe, and efficient aerial missions, including takeoff, flight, and landing. - Data Collection & Analysis:
Capture, process, and analyze aerial photos, video, and survey data to provide field view information - Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to local and federal aviation regulations, conducting site risk assessments and managing flight logs. - Equipment Maintenance:
Perform field-level repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on drones, sensors, and ground control stations. - Working alone in various outdoor weather conditions
- Successfully completing the drone Pilot’s license
- Driving an All-Terrain Vehicle through uneven terrain

About You- Minimum of 1 Years of related agricultural educational experience is required
- Willingness and ability to obtain a Drone Aviation License
- Driver’s License – Full G
