Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Accounting Analyst for a contract role at our headquarters in Purchase, NY (700 Anderson Hill Rd, Purchase, NY 10577). Join our dynamic PBNA Sector HQ team and support critical financial operations in a fast-paced environment.

• Review, prepare, and process period journal entries (e.g., cross charges, prepaid amortizations, accruals, leases) for month-end close.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and our client policies for all spending (capital and expense).
• Manage labor accruals for vendors, resolve issues with vendors/Finance/Project Managers, and submit invoices to AP.
• Provide accounting guidance to Project and Finance Managers; review spend through project lifecycle.
• Prepare project analytics for Period Operation Review Reports and perform financial statement analysis.
• Validate/approve projects during Out of Cycle (OOC) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP); execute SOX controls for capital spend/prepaids.
• Handle ad hoc projects, reconciliations, and queries.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business field.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles; ability to reconcile financial data.
• Sound independent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication for cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• SAP FICO and Project Systems experience.
• Knowledge of SOP 98-1 (software/cloud capitalization/amortization).
• CPA (preferred or candidate).

• Contract Length: ~1 year (1,872 total hours, ~40 hrs/week).
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (hybrid/on-site in Purchase, NY).
• Pay: Competitive hourly rate up to $40/hr (payrolled or recruited; OT/DT rates apply).
• Type: Full-time contract (no conversion anticipated).
