Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Bookkeeper/Controller in Purchase, NY (onsite).

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Bookkeeper/Controller to lead day‑to‑day finance functions, full‑cycle bookkeeping, office administration, facilities coordination, and select HR support. This role is ideal for a hands‑on financial professional who thrives in a fast‑moving, lean organization and enjoys taking ownership of processes from beginning to end.

This role is onsite Monday–Friday in Purchase, NY

Compensation

Pay Range: $70,000 – $90,000

(Required disclosure under New York State pay transparency laws.)

Role Summary

The Bookkeeper/Controller will oversee core operational areas including:

  • Finance & Accounting
  • Bookkeeping (AP/AR, payroll coordination, reconciliations)
  • Administrative + Office Management
  • Facilities coordination

You will act as a hands-on financial operator and small‑company controller
, tackling tasks both large and small while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and ownership.

Responsibilities

Financial Operations (Accounting, Full‑Cycle Bookkeeping, AP/AR, General Ledger, Quick Books Online, Payroll Coordination)

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping
    : AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
  • Maintain accurate financial records within Quick Books Online
    .
  • Coordinate payroll using a third‑party payroll processor.
  • Manage general cash operations, expenses, vendor payments, and invoicing.
  • Assist with financial reporting including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Collaborate with external accounting partners as needed.

Administrative & Office Management

Human Resources Support

A background check may be run, but only at a conditional offer, where permitted by law.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Quick Books Online (QBO).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach suited for small‑company environments.
