You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal.

The Nanomaterials for Energy and Life science Research Unit is coordinated by Guglielmo Lanzani. The research focuses on functional abiotic/biotic interfaces. This includes molecular phototransducers and organic nanoparticles for cells stimulation, their design, characterization and application to biomedicine and hybrid robotics.

Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be:

• Managing the bacteria factory
• Supervise labs activities on biofilm formation and integration in devices

• A PhD inchemistry and chemical engineering, physics and physics engineering, biotechnology, biology, bio-medical engineering, material science, and similar disciplines
• Documented experience in handling, studying and use of bacteria
• Coherent publication record
• Good command of spoken and written English

• Experience in lab management and students’ supervision
• Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
• Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
• Possess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset

• Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
