Overview
PURPOSE Responsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Adheres to driver safety/compliance regulations, delivers undamaged goods on schedule, and provides professional service to customers. Drive vehicles weighing greater than 26,000 pounds and may tow vehicles or trailers less than 10,000 pounds.
Responsibilities- Load or assist with loading and securing product, materials, or supplies inside the delivery vehicle as needed.
- Deliver customer orders to specified delivery sites and maneuver vehicles into loading/unloading positions.
- Assist customers with unloading materials safely and accurately while protecting the product and customer property.
- Verify order details, maintain logs of delivery duties (amounts/weights of items, mileage, locations), and check items against invoices for accuracy.
- Serve as a customer service liaison between the company and site customers; handle and help resolve customer concerns as they arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles and perform routine safety checks to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
- Use handheld devices (except while driving) to ensure DVIR and HOS compliance; maintain hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures.
- May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork; operate forklifts or non-motorized material handling equipment to load and offload materials.
- Understand and observe all safety procedures; attend safety meetings and may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED; 21+ years old; valid driver’s license and a Class B CDL license.
- A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with Class B CDL; ability to pass MVR; obtain a DOT medical card.
- Basic math and measurement skills; ability to read and speak English.

The role is in a production environment with potential temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, noise, and dust. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently and up to 200 pounds with assistance; may involve climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling. Must be able to operate delivery vehicles (enter/exit cab, maneuver for visibility, operate controls).
