As a Roofing Sales Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training on damage assessments, roofing products, and the process for restoring homeowner property. This role is responsible for responding to warm sales leads by visiting homeowners, inspecting roofs and properties, guiding customers through the restoration process, and providing solutions to fund necessary repairs. Other responsibilities include:
- Rapidly responding to warm sales leads to close contracts.
- Generating sales leads through neighborhood canvassing and door‑knocking.
- Traveling to areas hit by storm damage to identify roof and property damage.
- Climbing onto roofs and into attics to conduct damage assessments and present findings (training provided).
- Educating homeowners on the restoration process and serving as a technical advisor.
- Providing estimates, funding options, and collecting payments as required.
- Working with insurance companies and adjusters to facilitate the best outcomes for homeowners.
- Obtaining agreements and contracts from homeowners for roof restoration services.
- Attending weekly sales meetings and actively participating in team communication.
- A sales or customer service background is a plus but not required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle transportation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Capable of utilizing technology (computer and smartphone apps) and gathering and analyzing information.
- Ability to climb a ladder and scale roofs for inspection.
- Ability to work outdoors, including walking and occasionally carrying up to 50 lbs.
- At least 40 hours of daytime availability weekly; most Saturdays are required.
- Comprehensive paid training on damage recognition, homeowner advising, and safety practices, including a physical product kit to walk homeowners through options.
