- Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation
- Maintains quality control for all products, including monitoring freshness of product daily
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
- Prepares appropriate equipment for cooking
- Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing,assembling and kneading of food products
- Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing,rotating and checking temperature of products
- Receives and inventories food and beverage product and supplies
- Cleans and sanitizesworkstationwork station and equipment
- Ability to perform any other duties as assigned by Department Manager
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularly lifts upto 50 pounds and occasionally lifts upto 100 pounds.
Regularly worksin extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals,and inoutdoor weather.
Noise level is moderate.
