Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Agronomist position based in Pune. The Agronomist will be responsible for conducting research on soil science, plant nutrition, and irrigation methods to improve agricultural practices. Key duties include assessing soil health, advising on sustainable farming techniques, implementing efficient irrigation plans, and providing evidence-based recommendations to optimize crop yield and productivity. The role also involves collaborating with farmers, collecting field data, and supporting decision-making with data-driven insights.
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge and expertise in Soil Science and Agriculture
Strong understanding of Irrigation systems and practices
Proficiency in Plant Nutrition and Research methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in sustainable agricultural practices and farm management
Ability to work on-site in Pune and collaborate with farming communities
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field
Familiarity with AI/ML technology in agriculture is a plus
