Visual Merchandising Designer

Job Summary:
The Visual Merchandising Designer at Palmonas will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing innovative VM solutions that elevate the brand’s in-store and experiential presence. This role blends creativity with functionality, ensuring store layouts, displays, and installations reflect Palmonas’ positioning as India’s first demi-fine jewelry brand. The designer will work closely with marketing, product, and retail teams to create impactful visual stories that enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop visual merchandising concepts, window displays, fixtures, and props for retail stores and exhibitions.
Translate seasonal campaigns and product launches into visually appealing in-store experiences.
Create VM guidelines, mockups, and planograms for store teams to implement.
Collaborate with the marketing and design team to ensure consistency of brand identity across physical and digital touchpoints.
Source, design, and manage production of VM elements (props, signage, fixtures, packaging visuals, etc.).
Support new store openings with design concepts and store display planning.
Ensure cost-effective, innovative, and sustainable VM solutions.
Stay updated on global VM trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to bring fresh ideas.
Coordinate with vendors and fabricators to ensure timely production and installation.
Conduct periodic reviews of implemented designs and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Retail Design, Interior Design, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in Visual Merchandising Design, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or jewelry brands.
Strong creative portfolio showcasing retail design and display concepts.
Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Corel
DRAW, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, or similar).
Excellent understanding of materials, fabrication, and retail display production processes.
Strong eye for aesthetics, detail, and storytelling.
Ability to balance creativity with practical retail requirements.
Good communication and project management skills.
