Responsible for leading and coordinating the global inventory development, planning and optimization for production units in Pulp, Energy & Circularity, Packaging and Tissue. Ensure Inventory control practices and development is compliant according to inventory policies and in line with business objectives. Scope of the global production inventories in this role: P&P, Pressure parts, Consumables and Fabrics.
Key Responsibilities
Lead production inventory (Materials, WIP & Finished goods) development actions globally to ensure efficient inventory management in production units
Develop and execute strategic action plans for production inventory optimization and compliance
Collaborate with business areas, production, procurement and project management to optimize inventory and service level of production inventory and warehouses
Monitor production inventory performance metrics, analyze data, and provide regular reports to stakeholders, making data-driven decisions
Drive digital transformation in production inventory management
Deliver significant, sustainable networking capital-related savings through inventory management
Support global materials management processes to optimize inventory levels in production units
Ensure global inventory control practices for production units (critical items, scrapping, review materials selection periodically and control key materials)
Conduct internal audits to inventory management practices and identify areas of risk
Drive process development in close cooperation with Logistics and Materials Management Excellence team and other internal stakeholders
Serve as a member of Materials Management core team and Global inventory management team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you need to have.
7+ years of experience in inventory management, logistics and material management practices with experience of leadership roles, preferably in the context of global industrial manufacturing.
Advanced degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
Demonstrated success in production inventory optimization and warehouse foot-print optimization
Entrepreneurial mindset with clear drive to lead change and transformation of business in global, networked environment.
Hands-on experience in warehousing, logistics operations and inventory management
Strong matrix management capabilities and experience with a successful track record.
Strong analytical skills and strategic acumen, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions for drive cost-efficient logistics and materials management.
Strong interpersonal skills including extensive knowledge in managing matrix teams & stakeholders with geographically and culturally diverse setup.
Good IT skills and excellent analytical skills with strong MS Excel skills.
Highly results-oriented with continuous improvement attitude
Knowledge of Infor LN as benefit as well as APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.
Your personal characteristics include good communication and intercultural negotiation skills. You have co-operative attitude and genuine drive and desire to make success within Valmet. Fluent English, both written and oral, is essential.
