Job Goal
To ensure press tools are available on time for regular production by preventive and reactive maintenance.
Responsibilities
Feasibility study of new products and quality planning
Expert in conceptualizing and designing of press tools requiring deep drawing operation.
Development Tooling From outside suppliers.
Tool Inspection, tool try out & maintain its records.
Tool Maintenance,
Tooling Improvement, use of latest material and treatments in order to reduce quality issues and enhance life.
check supplier's quotation and fill up requisition.
Attend QCM meeting and resolve their tooling related problems.
Work on P-Tag & CCPM Projects.
Design & Development of tooling activity for new projects.
Solve tooling related problems on production line.
Parameters to measure if the employee is a performer or non performer

Development of components for new projects.
Conducting the process audits as per schedule
Process rejection within specified norms.

LEADERSHIP ROLE : ROLE IN STRATEGY / PLANNING/ PROBLEM SOLVING
Technical knowledge related to Press tool development (design, material selection, Machining Process, material treatment, costing)
In depth knowledge of Design Software – press tool
Sheet metal raw material knowledge – Material Composition.
Knowledge of tool material, heat treatment and application and costing.
Knowledge of setting of tools on press machine. Knowledge of Hydraulic and mechanical press operation. Deep draw tools exposure is preferred.

OVERSIGHT RECEIVED:
Work is subject to close supervisory review at frequent intervals.
