Quality Control Executive – Jewellery

Role
Summary:
The Quality Control (QC) Executive will be responsible for ensuring that all jewellery pieces meet Palmonas’ quality standards in terms of design accuracy, finishing, plating, durability, and overall craftsmanship. The role involves close coordination with production, design, and logistics teams to maintain premium product quality and consistency across all collections.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Inspection & Quality Assurance
Inspect finished jewellery pieces for design accuracy, polish, plating, and stone setting.
Check for defects such as scratches, discoloration, missing stones, uneven plating, or alignment issues.
Ensure every item meets Palmonas’ defined quality benchmarks before approval for dispatch.
2. Process Monitoring
Monitor QC processes during production — from raw material receipt to final packaging.
Ensure adherence to SOPs at every stage of manufacturing (casting, polishing, plating, assembly).
Flag deviations and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate QC reports and inspection logs.
Track rejection rates, rework data, and defect trends.
Submit daily/weekly QC reports to the Quality Manager and highlight critical issues.
4. Vendor & Production Coordination
Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure quality consistency across batches.
Conduct spot checks at vendor sites when required.
Provide feedback to vendors and ensure timely implementation of improvements.
5. Product Handling & Packaging
Verify packaging standards, labeling, and barcoding before dispatch.
Ensure products are packed safely to prevent transit damage.
6. Continuous Improvement
Identify recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements.
Support the development and revision of QC checklists and SOPs.
Participate in training sessions to align with updated quality standards or new collections.
Qualifications &
Experience:
Graduate/Diploma in Jewellery Design, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
2–5 years of experience in quality control within the jewellery or fashion accessories industry.
Strong understanding of metal types, plating techniques, and jewellery finishing.
Eye for detail, precision, and design aesthetics.
Proficiency in using QC tools and documentation methods.
Good communication and coordination skills.
