Job Summary:

The Head of Logistics will oversee end-to-end Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehousing, Distribution and Logistics Operations. This role requires someone with strong execution discipline, data-driven decision making, vendor and cost negotiation ability and the capability to build efficient and customer-centric systems.
You will collaborate closely with Production, Sales, Finance and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless delivery, optimized cost, and stable material availability.

Key Responsibilities:

1.
Supply Chain & Planning
Own end-to-end supply chain execution including forecasting, capacity planning, and delivery coordination.
Monitor demand trends and align procurement and warehouse inventory accordingly.
Develop and optimize SOPs to improve speed, reliability, and forecasting accuracy.

Procurement & Vendor Management
Lead sourcing strategy for raw materials, packaging, and logistics vendors.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Evaluate and onboard reliable suppliers, transporters, and service partners.
3.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
Ensure accurate storage, material handling, and stock management across warehouses.
Monitor inventory health (aging, reorder levels, non-moving items, shrinkage).
Implement FIFO systems and automation tools for stock accuracy.
4.
Distribution & Logistics
Ensure timely delivery of finished goods to customers, distributors, and warehouses.
Manage 3PL partners, freight contracts, and transportation planning.
Track dispatch accuracy, transit time, damage control, route optimization, and compliance.
5.
Cost Control & Optimization
Drive logistics, warehousing, and procurement cost targets.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce waste, delays, and operational inefficiencies.
Implement KPIs, dashboards, and benchmarking for cost and service improvement.
6.
Client & Stakeholder Relationship
Serve as the logistics point of contact for key customers for delivery performance, schedules, and escalations.
Work closely with Sales and Operations to ensure customer commitments are met.
Build internal alignment and communication around delivery SLAs, planning, and fulfillment capacity.

Qualifications & Experience
Experience :
Minimum 10–15 years in supply chain/logistics leadership roles (preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, packaging, or consumer goods).
Experience in all Modes of transportation, i.e. part load/full truck load on a pan India level is a pre requisite for this role. National as well as local tie ups for transportation and logistics is absolutely necessary.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required. MBA in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
Proven experience in large-scale logistics operations, procurement strategy, and distribution
