Domain Consultant- SCM

Overview

The SCM Domain Consultant will play a key role in analyzing, optimizing, and transforming procurement and supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional knowledge of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and hands-on experience with SAP Ariba. Exposure to workflow tools such as Service Now SCM is desirable. This role requires end-to-end involvement across requirements gathering, solution design, process mapping, and delivery of SCM transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across procurement, supplier management, sourcing, and contract lifecycle processes.
Collaborate with SCM, procurement, and IT teams to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and enable digital procurement practices.
Support the design of end-to-end SCM process journeys, solution blueprints, and integration models involving SAP Ariba and ERP systems.
Assist in implementing enhancements, workflow improvements, and automation capabilities across SCM platforms.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and delivery units to ensure accurate requirement translation and timely delivery.
Ensure alignment with procurement governance, compliance standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Identify opportunities for process standardization, optimization, and adoption of industry best practices.
Support change management activities, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), supplier onboarding initiatives, and go-live readiness for SCM solutions.
Contribute to data migration, supplier master validation, and integration testing for procurement systems.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Strong experience as an SCM Consultant or Business Analyst with exposure to Source-to-Pay processes.
Hands-on knowledge of SAP Ariba modules (e.g., Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing, Supplier Management).
Understanding of supplier onboarding, procurement workflows, purchase requisition/order processes, and contract operations.
Familiarity with service management and ticketing tools (e.g., Service Now SCM, Jira, SAP Solution Manager).
Ability to map and document processes using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Ariba-specific workflow visualizers.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage requirements end-to-end with traceability and alignment to business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

10-15 years of SCM, procurement, or functional consulting experience in SAP Ariba or S2P transformation projects.

Experience with Service Now SCM or similar workflow automation solutions.
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP ECC/S4

HANA relating to MM, Procurement, or Inventory modules.
Certifications in SAP Ariba, Supply Chain, Lean Six Sigma, or Business Analysis (CBAP).
Experience in supplier lifecycle management, procurement analytics, contract digitization, or global shared services environments.
Exposure to Agile delivery models and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
