Role Description s / Expectations from the Role
Lead end-to-end testing activities across multiple projects, with a primary focus on manual functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
Drive comprehensive test planning, strategy creation, test case design, execution, and documentation for web, API, and database applications.
Oversee and coordinate UAT, exploratory, and risk-based testing, ensuring business and functional requirements are fully validated.
Mentor, train, and guide QA team members in manual testing best practices, test case reviews, and defect management.
Lead daily test execution, defect logging, root cause analysis, and close coordination with development, product, and business teams for prompt issue resolution.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify ambiguities, and ensure test coverage.
Define and refine test processes to ensure high test coverage, traceability, and alignment to QA best practices and standards.
Manage, assign, and oversee testing tasks for the team, maintaining priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Provide periodic reports and metrics on test progress, coverage, quality, and outstanding risks to stakeholders and leadership.
Lead production verification, incident analysis, and support activities during releases and provide one week of production support during weekends on a rotational basis.
Ensure comprehensive API validation, both manually and via automation, utilizing RESTSharp, Postman, and Ready
API.
Design, develop, and maintain lightweight automation frameworks and scripts (approx. 20% workload) using Selenium in C# as needed for regression and critical areas.
Manage and optimize basic test pipelines and CI/CD integrations using Jenkins and Azure Dev Ops, primarily to support manual and limited automated QA activities.
Support and review complex SQL queries for database validation and data setup using SQL Developer.
Utilize Git for version control and maintain code repositories, including review of test assets and documentation collaboration.
Leverage Git Hub Copilot and other AI tools to facilitate simple automation script development and productivity enhancements for the QA team.
Develop or coordinate performance/benchmark tests using JMeter where critical, and analyze results for key business flows.
Champion process improvements, cross-team communication, and adoption of QA best practices across manual and automated testing domains.
