About

The Role

As a  Manager – Business Information Security , you will play a critical role in safeguarding Cognizant's business delivery and client engagements by managing security risks end-to-end. You will be a key member of the  Corporate Security Group , collaborating with business leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and uphold security standards.

This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives, influence security posture across global operations, and drive continuous improvements in a dynamic environment.

In This Role, You Will

Coordinate client visits and audits, ensuring compliance with security requirements.
Conduct security risk assessments for key accounts and support remediation efforts.
Liaise with external auditors for PCI-DSS and SSAE
18 SOC1/SOC2 audits.
Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements within the scope of work.
Review infrastructure security and network configuration compliance.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams for security incident response.
Facilitate regular security risk analysis and drive continuous security improvements.
Review security exception requests and assess associated risks.

What You Must Have To Be Considered

Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
11–15 years of experience in information security or related technology domain.
Comprehensive knowledge of network and system security technologies and practices.
Expertise in risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Security certifications such as ISO
27001 LA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC (preferred).

Work Model

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a  hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu , with occasional travel for client audits. You may also need to respond to security incidents outside regular working hours.
