Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to lead our BI team. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of IT experience, with a strong background in business intelligence, data analytics, application development and cloud technologies, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex IT projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive BI initiatives that align with our business goals.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
Provide leadership and oversight for the Data and Analytics team, ensuring the successful delivery of BI Projects for Sales Business.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize business opportunities that can be enhanced through effective data and analytics solutions.
Act as a key advisor to IT leadership, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and trends in data & analytics.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of solutions using Azure ADLS, Azure Synapse, MS Fabric, MS Power BI, Azure Kubernetes, CI/CD processes, SAP HANA, Talend
Participate in BI CoE activities to define the Best Practices and Standards for Azure/Fabric Development Practices.
Engage with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business goals.
Manage BI projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
Team Development & Management :
Develop and mentor high-impact technical leadership teams through onboarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities, and performance management processes.
Build and maintain employee morale and motivation, ensuring a high-performing team of technical professionals focused on customer analytics.
Manage the hiring, training, and development of staff, provide performance reviews, recommend pay increases, and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on data and analytics strategies.
Promote a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of innovative technologies and approaches in analytics solutions.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase the effectiveness of data solutions.
Experience:
15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years in data and analytics roles in large/complex environments.
Expertise on managing and implementing BI projects in cloud platforms preferably MS Azure/Fabric stack
Experience in delivering Cloud based reporting solutions with optimized cloud cost
2+ years of experience in managing data and analytics teams
Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
Required Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
Ability to guide team of developers for efficient designs in Azure Cloud Platform to reduce overall cost
Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization with required technical depth and breadth.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Deep understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends and possesses a continuous learning mindset.
Experience working with captive IT services companies or product companies.
Experience with stakeholder communication and escalation management.
Ability to review team work, including code, design, solutions, and test cases.
Proactive in bringing process improvements.
Effective use of JIRA for Project tracking & Status reporting
Hands-on experience with BI tools such as SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Tibco Data Virtualization, SAP HANA, and/or Talend is good to have.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications in Azure cloud architecture, data analytics, or MS Fabric are a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA or a related Information Technology field.
Experience of working in Captive is a plus.
