Skills and Competencies

• 7+ years in SDET roles with deep expertise in end-to-end test automation and complex integration testing, including preferred experience with IBM GRC services automation.

• Strong expertise in Playwright (JavaScript/Type Script) for both UI and backend automation, with an emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, and reusable code.

• Experience with Node.js backend testing.

• Expertise in designing and implementing Playwright test automation frameworks from scratch.

• Expertise in Git Hub and branching strategies and workflow management, including feature branching, pull request reviews, and CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Experience using Git Hub Copilot.

• Java coding experience with TestNG and Cucumber BDD (or equivalent BDD frameworks); comfort switching between JavaScript/Type Script and Java.

• Proficiency in API testing using Postman and automation frameworks; experience with REST (Graph

QL is a plus).

• Advanced SQL for database testing, data validation, and reconciliation across systems.

• Experience with Jira (preferably Xray for test management), Confluence, Git/Git Hub.

• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, branching strategies, and code review practices.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional communication and stakeholder collaboration.

• Experience with Excel-based data analysis and reporting.

• BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical field.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Build Playwright frameworks from scratch and develop/execute automated test cases, and test scripts with a focus on functional, integration, and regression testing.

• Implement test tagging & parallelization strategies to optimize test suites for CI/CD.

• Execute integration testing ensuring accurate data flow between platforms.

• Drive E2E testing spanning multiple components (UI, services, data stores, ETL jobs, events/queues) and validate key workflows via test automation.

• Perform API and backend testing to validate data integrity and system interactions.

• Create and manage test plans, test cases, and executions using JIRA (preferably with Xray).

• Defect tracking and reporting.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops), enabling shift-left testing, parallelization, test flakiness control, and reporting dashboards.

• Work closely with development, product, and integration teams to identify issues and drive resolution.

• Provide actionable insights for continuous improvement in testing processes.
• Adapt to evolving testing requirements driven by business priorities across diverse platforms and products.

• Leverage AI tools to accelerate QA and AI-driven test automation to boost coverage, speed, and reliability.

• Track and communicate quality metrics/KPIs (coverage, escape rate, flakiness) and drive continuous improvement.
