Job Title:

Director - International Relations

Job Summary:

The Director - International Relations plays a crucial role in supporting the global
engagement and internationalization efforts of the university. This position is responsible for assisting the colleges/schools in planning, developing, and executing international programs and initiatives, fostering strong international partnerships, and enhancing the university's global presence. The Assistant Director will collaborate with various stakeholders to promote international student admissions, cultural exchange, academic collaboration, faculty and student mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

International Program Development:

Assist in the development and implementation of international programs, projects, and initiatives that align with the university's strategic goals.
Research and propose new international opportunities, including study abroad programs, faculty exchange, and collaborative research projects.

International Partner Relations:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with international partner institutions, organizations, and government agencies.
Collaborate with partners to establish and renew Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and agreements to facilitate academic cooperation.
Student Mobility, Exchange and Higher Studies:

Coordinate student exchange programs, including the application process, selection, pre- departure orientation, and post-return debriefing.

Provide guidance to students on study abroad opportunities, scholarships, and visa requirements.
Track the student higher studies graduation outcome and provide necessary support wherever required.

International Events and

Activities:

Plan and execute international events, such as cultural festivals, guest lectures, and workshops to promote global awareness on campus.
Promote cross-cultural understanding and interaction among the university's diverse student and faculty population.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in International Relations, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in international relations, higher education, or a related field.
Strong understanding of global trends in education and international partnerships.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with immigration regulations and visa requirements.
Proficiency in a second language is an advantage.
Project management and budgeting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
