Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
Support the review and evaluation of operational processes and internal controls to assess their adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Assist in documenting audit findings, observations, and preliminary recommendations for process improvements.
Gather and analyze data, documents, and other information relevant to audit scope.
Learn and apply professional auditing standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Contribute to the preparation of audit work papers, ensuring proper documentation and support for findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect necessary information and insights during audits.
Stay updated on relevant regulations, industry best practices, and internal audit trends.
Participate in discussions with operational personnel to verify facts and obtain explanations.
Background &
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. (Candidates pursuing professional certifications like CA/CPA/CIA may be preferred).
1-2 years of experience in internal audit, statutory audit, risk assurance, or a related finance/accounting role.
Foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for data analysis and documentation).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
High level of integrity and professional skepticism.
A proactive approach, strong eagerness to learn, and adaptability to new challenges and environments.
Ability to work effectively as a team member and contribute to collective goals.
