Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, based in Pune. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable and payable, preparing financial statements, and conducting financial analysis. Additional responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, ensuring tax compliance, and collaborating with different departments to monitor budgets and expenditures. The role also involves preparing detailed reports for management to assist in decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate books of accounts, including ledgers, journals, and financial records.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor and customer reconciliation.
Handle statutory compliance such as TDS, GST, PF, ESI, and other applicable filings.
Conduct regular bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
Process invoices, payments, receipts, expense claims, and payroll entries.
Prepare and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting (MIS).
Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and adherence to Indian accounting standards.
Coordinate with auditors during internal, statutory, and tax audits.
Monitor cash flows, maintain petty cash, and assist in financial planning.
Maintain accurate documentation and support digital recordkeeping.
Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and controls
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com, M.Com, BBA Finance).
Strong knowledge of Indian accounting principles and statutory compliance.
Practical experience with accounting software such as Tally Prime and Zoho Books
Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
Good understanding of taxation, GST, TDS, and compliance procedures.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently or within a team.
