As part of ECOM’s Corporate Finance team, the Corporate Development Junior Manager supports Senior Managers in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and capital investment projects, and other special projects of strategic importance.
Key Duties And Responsibilities- Strategy & Deal Origination – support the development of the company’s organic and external growth strategy, evaluate potential acquisition targets, conduct industry and market research, prepare and support internal review of acquisition projects, review financial statements and prepare valuation analyses.
- Financial Analysis & Valuation – build and review financial models, perform valuation analyses, evaluate synergies, risks, and ROI.
- Due Diligence – coordinate due diligence across legal, financial, tax, operational, liaise with internal and external advisors, assist senior leadership, draft offer letters, oversee documentation, support negotiations, prepare investment memoranda and presentations, manage transaction timelines.
- Post-Merger Integration – coordinate activities, collaborate with integration teams, track performance, report on integration progress.
- 2-4 years in corporate development/M&A, investment banking, transaction services at a big 4, strategy consulting, or FP&A.
- Graduate degree in economics, business administration, finance or qualified chartered accountant.
- Exposure to financial transactions, corporate and business strategy.
- Trading company experience is a plus.
- Team player in an international environment with cross-cultural teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in a complex demanding environment.
- Strong financial expertise and full proficiency in financial analysis, valuation, and financial modeling.
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
- High attention to detail and analytical rigor.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Discretion and professionalism with confidential information.
- Expert knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent English;
Spanish an asset.
