We are seeking a driven, community‑minded individual to join our team as an independent Insurance Agent. This role is ideal for a proactive leader passionate about making a tangible local impact. You’ll sell insurance products and spearhead initiatives that address community needs, positioning our agency as a trusted ally.

• Build relationships with local organizations (schools, farm organizations, chambers of commerce) to identify partnership opportunities
• Stay updated on industry trends and compliance requirements
• Build and manage a diverse client base by providing personalized insurance solutions
• Educate clients on coverage options, ensuring policies align with their needs
• Manage day-to-day operations, including marketing, sales, and customer service

• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
• 5+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development; insurance experience is an advantage
• A background or familiarity with farming or agriculture is a plus
• Passionate about giving back to the community and making a positive impact
• Active insurance license (or willingness to obtain)
• Insurance and sales experience a plus

On May 1, 1947, a group of Idaho farmers and ranchers founded an insurance company. This company was grounded in the belief that neighbors should help neighbors. Because of this, we have built a customer‑centered culture that has helped us develop stronger through decades of change.

In 2024, Western Community Insurance—Farm Bureau Mutual started offering insurance products in the state of Washington.
