** The base pay range for this position is $34.75-$52.49 Hourly however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

* Position Overview:

** Respiratory Therapist treats a range of patients from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people with pulmonary disease.  Respiratory Therapist works under the supervision of physicians and delivers a range of respiratory care modalities on scheduled and emergency basis
** A Day in the Life:
*** Operates mechanical ventilators.
* Operates non-invasive mechanical ventilators.
* Operates high-flow oxygen delivery systems.
* Draws umbilical cord gases.
* Draws arterial blood gases.
* Determines appropriateness and participates in developing and recommending modifications to respiratory care plans.
* Gathers information and interprets data regarding patient history, lab results, radiological reports, and other pertinent results regarding patient care.
* Demonstrates willingness to learn new techniques and new equipment.
* Actively initiates and participates in communication to assure effective delivery of respiratory care.
* Communicates with patients and family in a respectful manner.
** About You!
**** This Job is For You if You Have:
*** Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
* Credentialed through the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
* Licensed in the State of Washington as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
* Excellent communication skills with physicians, colleagues, and patients.
* Ability to learn and utilize new technologies
* Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
** A Wow if You Have:
*** Two or more years’ experience.
* BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire.
