** Fiscal Specialist**, you will work independently, under the general supervision of the Payroll Manager. You will provide varied fiscal support functions to the Payroll Services department. In this role you will also review current procedures, problem-solve, and make recommendations to improve service, processes, communication, and accuracy.

*** Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook and Word

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Experience with the WSU mainframe accounting systems.
* Possess good computer skills, specifically working in a Microsoft Windows environment with an emphasis on Word and Excel.
* Experience in higher education.
* Payroll experience is beneficial but not required. Training and professional development opportunities will be available.
* Ability to pay attention to detail and work accurately with numbers.
* Strong communication skills.
