Service Technician

S & L Motors is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team in Pulaski, WI. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our customers. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle concerns and repairs needed
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Keep accurate records of all services performed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and computerized equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training preferred

• Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred-but WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON
• High school diploma or equivalent
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
