In Pulaski we have specialists for imaging, digital printing and release papers, with more than 100 employees handling converting and packaging for the domestic market in addition to sales and distribution for North America.

The basic function of the Production Supervisor is to supervise Coating and/or Converting department employees and operations to meet Company and departmental objectives. The role includes interaction with and supervision of union employees and regular collaboration with the Planning Department to achieve production order shipping targets, review setups and schedules, completed orders, production order specifications and consumption. Daily interactions with Receiving and Purchasing are required for accurate material receiving and disposition of ordered material and daily requirements.

The supervisor will provide guidance to mill personnel, suppliers, and outside contractors on tool purchases, distribution, usage, repair, and replacement; advise on storeroom parts and provide in-house interpretation concerning parts and suppliers. Daily interaction with Quality, Customer Service, Maintenance and Logistics teams is also expected. Quality is reviewed daily, and startup work is reviewed for each department. The supervisor communicates with IT contractors regarding SF or Shop Floor Data Collection System issues as needed.

The supervisor has daily responsibility for union production staff on assigned lines, including contract employees, and works with maintenance crews for parts procurement or repairs. The role supervises production hourly and contract employees on assigned lines. The scope includes budgeting, payroll, and other measures related to the area affected.

The principal challenges include meeting shipping commitment dates, reducing in-process backlog, maintaining and improving OEE, handling last-minute scheduling requests, responding to maintenance or mill supply issues, staying current with standards and changes, organizing job elements to meet objectives, and quickly adapting to equipment downtime or schedule changes. Inventory adjustments and union contract application are also part of daily activities, along with encouraging training opportunities and cross-department collaboration to drive business success.
