Overview

POSITION TITLE: Machine Operator

DEPT: Production

REPORTS TO: Department Supervisor

Summary: Performs production operations such as running presses, spirals and packing, feeding blanks and rewinding coil. Visually inspects product for defects along with using various required gauges.

• Checking product quality and identifying non-conforming products.
• Maintains production flow by efficiently operating equipment to produce and packaging products.
• Responsible for shutting down machines when a quality issue is detected and immediately seeks out assistance from set-up mechanic, quality inspector, or supervisor.
• Maintains a clean area for efficient and safe work environment.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow directions and read and understand written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Exposure to temperature changes due to weather conditions, noise and dust. May be in contact with oil and other substances, which must be handled appropriately.
