The college is located on a one-hundred plus acre site at the intersection of U.S. Routes 11 and I 00 in Dublin, Virginia with an instructional site in Christiansburg. The campus provides modem, well-equipped facilities for the career technical education programs as well as for the college transfer programs.

Duties

NRCC is seeking a student-focused, connection building, and compassionate problem solver to join our team as a full-time Student Services Advisor located at the College’s Christiansburg site. This includes communicating regularly with students, maintaining records of student outreach and other interactions, making connections to available college and community support services, and assisting with academic interventions when necessary.

An advisor utilizes a variety of technological solutions in addition to in-person interactions to connect with students. The ability to learn and adapt to new technology, along with the willingness to work in different environments, is essential. The advisor's primary role will be onboarding and supporting students in various for-credit programs throughout their educational journey. The successful candidate must be caring, organized, communicative, and flexible.
