Position Overview

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Pulaski is seeking an ER RN for a full‑time night shift with a $10,000 sign‑on bonus.

Job Type: Full‑Time | Nights

• Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Document patient care given.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree required. BSN preferred.
• Required skills:
  
  Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), STABLE certification, Handle With Care (HWC) and Trauma Nursing Core Certification (TNCC) within 90 days of hire, or within 6 months for HWC.
• Licenses:
  Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
