We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.04 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

The Full‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.
- Availability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed information is provided during the interview process.
