Coverage Area: Travel throughout the territory required.
Schedule: Full Time – 12 hour shifts Saturday and Sunday plus two additional 8 hour shifts during the week.
OverviewAbode Hospice of Colorado is seeking a passionate, dedicated Registered Nurse to provide on‑call care for hospice patients during off‑hours. The RN will bring relief, clarity, and compassion when it is needed most in a supportive, enfolding environment.

- Collaborate with the Remote Triage On‑Call Team to deliver hands‑on care to hospice patients and provide supportive services to families during after‑hours.
- Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately.
- Administer medication or adjust care per hospice protocols or provider orders.
- Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as necessary.
- Offer guidance and support to patients and families in understanding the current condition and anticipating next steps.
- If a death occurs during on‑call hours, promptly go to the home or facility to pronounce death, provide support to the family, notify the hospice team, and contact the funeral home.
- Complete timely documentation and communication.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in the state of operation.
- One year of nursing experience required; three or more years preferred.
- Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
- Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
- Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
- Licensed driver with an insured vehicle in good working order, meeting state or organizational requirements.
USD $80,000.00 – $88,000.00 per year.
